Design of the ‘Grand Bargain’ website

The Grand Bargain is a UN and EU-initiated project to increase performance and effectiveness of humanitarian aid and emergency relief. The idea is to cut back on the backroom activities of NGOs: doing more for people in need with the same budget. The Grand Bargain identified 10 ‘workstreams’ or guiding principles to make this happen. With this website, that we designed for VOICE in cooperation with the Belgian Aid to Development Agency, staff from the NGO workfield can learn about the Grand Bargain good practices and share their experience by uploading their own project: https://www.grandbargain4ngos.org

VOICE stands for "Voluntary Organisations in Cooperation in Emergencies". It is an NGO network promoting effective humanitarian aid worldwide since 1992. VOICE is the main NGO interlocutor with the European Union on emergency aid and disaster risk reduction, and it promotes the values of its 85 member organisations.

VOICE members are active in different sectors of humanitarian aid (such as food and nutrition, health, water and sanitation, shelter, aid to refugees and internally displaced people) in all countries affected by natural disasters, armed conflicts and emergency situations. Most VOICE members have a framework partnership agreement with the Humanitarian Aid department of the European Commission (DG ECHO). These organisations are dedicated to practicing good humanitarian aid and saving lives.
