Visual communication Demfest
European Movement international commissioned Hearts&Minds with the creation and production of a sizable series of communication tools for the Democracy Alive festival on the Dutch island of Texel in the sunup to the most recent European elections. European stakeholders met with citizens from across Europe to debate and celebrate European democracy in a series of events events ranging from panel debates and keynote talks to workshops and dance parties.
The European Movement International (EMI) is a pan-European network bringing together civil society organisations, trade unions, businesses, local authorities, political organisations, academics and other partners. Founded in 1948, it has a long history of promoting European cooperation and providing a platform for debate about Europe’s future. EMI facilitates exchanges between members, engages with European institutions and organises campaigns, events and public discussions. Its work aims to encourage citizen and stakeholder participation in European affairs and to connect perspectives from different sectors and countries around common European challenges, democratic participation and cooperation across borders.
