The European Consumer Organisation (BEUC) is the European umbrella organisation for independent national consumer organisations. Founded in 1962, it represents more than 40 member organisations from over 30 European countries. BEUC works with its members to inform EU policy and promote a fair and sustainable economy and society for consumers. Its activities include advocacy, policy analysis, enforcement and support for consumer redress. The organisation focuses on areas including financial services, mobility, energy, health, product safety, food systems, digital products and services, and sustainable consumer choices.
